The Most Aggressive Football Team You Can Assemble!
At Focalpointnewz, we recently enhanced our data by adding even more card stats and launching an interactive Foul Map. To take this fresh data to the next level, we’ve created our own football dream team: Introducing Booking XI, the most aggressive team ever assembled!
Using the 2019/2020 card data, we’ve selected players guaranteed to rack up record-breaking numbers of cards, all without selecting anyone currently playing in South America.
Our team will be playing in a bold 5-3-2 formation, with an “all-out defense” approach. By the end of the season, we’re confident they’ll have more cards than points!
Goalkeeper (GK): Sagi Malul
Meet our goalkeeper, Sagi Malul, who makes Jens Lehman look like a tame option. The 25-year-old has been guarding the posts in the Liga Leumit since 2014. Sagi was an obvious choice as the man between the sticks, thanks to his disciplinary record.
Right-Back (RB): Allan Nyom
In the right-back position, we have Allan Nyom, who collected 15 cards in 34 games last season and was sent off twice. Standing tall and experienced, he has mastered the tactical foul, having spent the last two seasons tormenting wingers in La Liga after departing from West Brom.
Center-Back (CB): Paco Craig
Our first center-back is Paco Craig, a player making waves in English football after previously playing in the USL Championship in the U.S. Last season, Paco was dismissed twice, and his move to Wycombe Wanderers promises more thrilling moments for Booking XI. At 27, Paco is a future star for our aggressive team.
Center-Back (CB): Sergio Tejera
Adding a touch of Spanish flair to the defense is Sergio Tejera. Since 2015, he’s accumulated an astounding 81 cards and frequently ventures into midfield. His versatility and exceptional record make him a cornerstone of Booking XI.
Center-Back (CB): Stefano Scognamillo
Hailing from Serie B, our third center-back is Stefano Scognamillo, a fierce defender born in Russia but developed in Italy. His “stop them at all costs” mentality perfectly embodies the Booking XI spirit.
Left-Back (LB): Martin Mantovani
At 36 years old, Martin Mantovani has seen it all. His legs may be slowing down, but his aggressive instincts remain intact. He picked up 0.73 cards per 90 minutes last season, adding to his career total of 137 cards. Mantovani continues to make waves at Las Palmas in the Spanish Segunda.
Defensive Midfield (CDM): Manuel Sanchez
Our midfield anchor is Manuel Sanchez, whose ability to consistently earn cards is nothing short of spectacular. He was booked 0.91 times per 90 minutes last season for Elche and has had 26 cards in one season alone. When Sanchez is on your side, cards are guaranteed.
Defensive Midfield (CDM): Klaus Gjasula
Enter Klaus Gjasula, our Albanian gladiator. Known for his solid defensive work, Klaus managed to avoid a red card last season, though he still racked up 21 yellows in 36 games for Hamburger SV.
Central Midfield (CM): Richard Boateng
As our box-to-box midfielder, Richard Boateng shoulders the responsibility of connecting defense with attack. Last season, the Ghanaian scored 5 goals, created 4 assists, and collected 16 cards. In the first four games of this season, he’s already been sent off and booked twice. He’ll be a key player for Booking XI.
Forward (FW): Marko Livaja
Leading the line is Marko Livaja, a relentless forward who plays for AEK Athens. Though he netted 12 goals last season, his more impressive stat is the 17 cards he collected. Livaja is a tireless worker, both in attack and accumulating fouls.
Forward (FW): Kristijan Lovric
The final member of our Croatian duo is Kristijan Lovric, a rising star in the Croatian Prva Liga. With 14 goals and 15 yellow cards in 31 matches last season, Lovric is a perfect fit for our aggressive approach.
